Self Love Workshop with Seanie 

A workshop to discover the medicine of self love. 

 

Begin to create the whispering words of self compassion and support through embodied practice and mantra. 

 

A consistent practice of self love and acceptance has the power to release all blocks. 

 

But what does that look like, and how can we intergrate this into our lives? 

 

 We will explore what self love means to us, and create personal mantras to take away. 

 Working in partners and within the group will give us the opportunity to challenge pre-existing inner critic voices. 

Singing and drumming are powerful portals into the subconscious mind and the use of repetition embeds these new found words into our systems. 

Polyvagal Workshop with Shell 

Dive into the anatomical and energetic ‘why’ behind many of the practices we offer on retreat. Understand what actually happens in the body when we experience different situations in our lives, a primal, reptilian response to modern living.

 

Learn how by toning the autonomic nervous system (or vagus verve), we can support ourselves to feel more safe. Understand how through conditioning and creating patterns over time we can get stuck in a primal response to situations that don't require us to fight or run.

 

Enquire and reflect on how you can start to recognise these qualities within yourself. 

Exploring Vulnerability Workshop with Seanie

Working with senses and dance movement, this workshop invites us to explore this beautiful facet of our heart through the lens of contact improvisation dance; a slow dance based practice where we communicate with each other through touch and body language. 

 

Blindfolds are introduced to take away the sense of sight bringing you deeper into the feeling body. 

We explore trust, touch, dance.

Acro Yoga Workshop with Shell 

Introducing play, trust and communication with the practice of acro yoga. Through various shapes and movements with a partner, find a shared centre of gravity, creating balance together.

Learning to trust another and letting go of complete control can be challenging, but acro yoga allows you to explore this in a held space with support. An empowering practice where a new shared experience gives you the opportunity to practice communicating your needs clearly as you move with another.  

 

This workshop will be focused on foundations and accessible to everyone, working safely with a spotter in each group. You will learn all 3 roles of base, flyer and spotter.
